Sometimes you just want a good reptile skinned watch, but they can be so hard to find. Why? Well us Americans get kind of bent out of shape about it. Yes, I am all for Animal rights. Frankly I would put Animals above humans in many regards, but when it comes to animals that are raised, just to be killed for their "parts," sure it is cruel, but it is not really damaging to the environment. It would be different if you had guys going out into the jungle to kill pythons just for their skin. That would be bad, really bad. But when you farm the creatures for it? Well then if you are against that, then you are against eating chickens (cause they are raised just to be killed too).?? I am now expecting a slew of angry e-mails and comments. Look, the strap does even match my drink!
I noticed that the strap color nicely matches the color of my favorite Cognac!I discovered this Cognac quite some years ago when I went to buy a R¨¦my Martin Fine Champagne Cognac. The owner of the shop told me that he had something much better and at a better price too! It was from a small Chateau he found and he let me taste both the R¨¦my Martin and this Chateau de Montifaud. Needless to say that he was right and many years later this is still my favourite Cognac.I used the white box to get the watch and the glass at a better height compared to the label of the quite long bottle. Well this was a special purchase for many reasons...A few months ago we found out my wife was pregnant, I was promoted and life¡¯s generally very, very good.The new hobby of horology lead me here, where the gentlemen of this board were able to impart their knowledge. We wanted to make a special purchase from my wife and as yet unborn son to me. So for the past few months I perused these boards, visited the 'bay, checked out many live examples.I went through many options including Omega, Tissot, Oris and Sinn, and narrowed the choice to either a Seiko Ananta, or a Breitling SuperOcean. Due impart to the availability of pre-owned Breitlings I decided to focus there. Been looking for the right one at the right price, last weekend my wife placed an offer on a pre-owned Breitling SuperOcean A17345 which was accepted. Squeaky Bracelet- year old watch
Hello all,I come to you with a small issue. My sub is is a year old now and squeaking from the two end links like never before. I have given it a soap bath several times now, but that only corrects the problem for a few hours. The slightest movement produces an audible squeak. I have heard of this issue on new watches, but pushing a year of almost every day use I would think it would be gone. My watch did receive a polish job, could that have anything to do with it? What other measures could I take to correct this?Thanks!
