- My husband loves watches and is very picky when it comes to the bands and the faces. He loved this watch! He liked the face how it fits and just the overall look to the watch.

Vacheron Constantin 85050/000R-20P2A wrist watches news:
A Google search Silicon. You will find 1 500 000 results for this most common of the metalloids, otherwise known as the Silicon (Si14). Starting at number 11, you will find related to watchmaking results (these research results are updated, February 2009). It is remarkable, considering that Silicon has a wide variety of industrial uses and does not even figure in watch until the end of the 20th century. What is even more remarkable is how much coverage a mark, Ulysse Nardin, has managed to get on this subject, forever linking the mark with equipment.
Would someone know if there would be an ETA movement in this watch? Its a 25 swiss jewel automatic incabloc vintage mens watch.
Now I know this won't appeal to everybody (anybody?). So, I was looking at my vast collection of watches and noting my favorites. Those are often the ones that I've customized and especially those that have a distressed nearly neglected vintage appearance. Because of the design work I have performed for L¨¹M-TEC, I have a large number of them, some are near duplicates. I thought about what one might just be "expendable", and formulated an idea, Now, I understand what I'm doing to the value of the watch and that some will probably lecture me about the sanctity od watches and so on. For me it's more about personal value. I'd rather have a very interesting, one-of-a-kind watch that I'll wear, than some "unloved" watch box loner I'll likely never wear.So here goes:The "time travelling" subject: a Bull45 A9 in its unmolested state:Now lets get busy - caseback off, nothing special here, typical quartz guts:Release and remove the stem, extract the movement holder and decase the movement and d
My wife and my 15 year wedding anniversary is coming up in a couple of months, and wouldn't you know, the modern 15 year gift is a watch!! Very convenient. I have a good idea of what I'd like to buy my wife - a stainless steel dressy sports watch, like an Omega but not a Rolex. But I have no idea yet what I would like. Since it is to be a gift it needs to be a keeper, there is no way I could flip an anniversary present. I have a few ideas, but need to try a few on, which is tough here in Oz as some of the watches I am interested in don't have an AD near by. A well, it will be fun thinking and looking and making a watch browsing trip to Sydney soon to try a few on.
Finally, I am now the proud owner of one the masterpieces of horological masturbation, an (almost) impossible-to-find white dial 15300.I have owned and reviewed many watches over the years but the Genta-designed references I really love so ending my search on such a high note with an almost like new piece makes it all the sweeter. Not much else to say about this classic, a few dirty mobile snaps below.
