Jaeger LeCoultre 1508420 wrist watches news:
We usually stay away from far-fetched tech concepts, because it is never a good idea to make one salivate with news of something that might never become attainable. In this instance however, it is probably safe to say that such a device is within our grasp in the next ten years max. The Nokia Eco Sensor Concept brings about the functionality that Star Trek and all science fiction fans have desperately awaited. Namely, a convergence device that functions as a watch, communication device, health monitor, and environmental senor, all in a cool-looking touch screen form factor. While it is unclear whether this is a functioning concept, it uses available technology in realistic ways. From a time telling standpoint, the Eco Sensor merely utilizes available digital technology with GPS to tell the time in the right place. It uses various on board sensors along with the GPS to determine environmental conditions. There are plenty of watches today that use this technology, such as Suunto, which ma
Today I was up at the mid Michigan antiques festival in Midland. I have had an itch for a vintage Omega Seamaster for a long time. Well I finally found one, 14k gold top and a stainless caseback Seamaster Deville. The hand and dial are mint. Its in running condition, but needs a servicing, and the crown isnt correct, but only paid a $150 for it. I think i got a pretty good deal. I want to put a beads of rice bracelet on it. Would a full gold or a 2-tone bracelet be correct for this model?SANY0025.jpgSANY0018.jpgSANY0021.jpg
there's a watch on the bay described as a "Vintage Hamilton wrist alarm watch"Photo below:(ebay photo)Did Hamilton make a wrist alarm watch? I've never heard of one? Mark
I just spotted a thread with a "B17" in the title......and it's a watch .......As the daughter of a B17 pilot, I think that B17 is inappropriate name for a watch .......and I suspect that any history buff or war buff ( that does seem a bit odd to say....war buff) ....especially Americans, see "B 17" and automatically think of that plane......it wasn't an obscure plane, it was one of the most famous and respected and dangerous planes to fly in WW2......Quite a lot of young men lost their lives in that plane.....thousands of them.....and frankly, it upsets the bejabbers out of me to see it as a label for a watch ! I know there's nothing I can do about it, but I will always look with a bad feeling when I see B 17 mentioned as a mere watch ,....and I don't care who makes it .....or how great a watch it is .......it's a watch ! ......it's beyond tacky, it's disrespectful of the young men who flew and fought in that plane ..it's like naming a watch Treblinka or Auzwitch ( spelling ) ....
Hey All:SO which watch that is in your collection that you almost sold or thought about selling but are glad you didn't.This is mine...when push came to shove, it is too beautiful to sell...
