Cartier W3019951 wrist watches news:
I am needing a mainspring barrel for a Longines 503. My watchmaker says he is unable to find one anywhere. We have a good mainspring, but the barrel has broken teeth. Please PM me if you have one. Thanks,John
I'm looking for a new watch. Surprise!!! Well, here's the problem. I want to find a Breguet. I've always liked the 5907:but the guilloch¨¦ is a little plain and the dial layout is the same as my VC. I recently saw the 5197:and like it more - but the list price is $25,000! It's a newer model so chances of finding it pre-owned are slim to nil. It's also no secret that RGM watches are really eye catching. John & I saw quite a few sweet ones on the tour we took including this one:The problem is the in-house 801 caliber is large; too large for me - it makes the watch well over 40 mm. So what's a dejected WIS to do? Well, I'll tell you: start surfing the web! After all, Google is a guy's best friend next to his dog. So after checking out some interesting watches (Tourby also has some neat looking pieces) I kept coming back to this: the Chronoswiss Kairos.image from Chronoswiss websiteimage by J.Gonzalez of TZIt's got an ETA 2892-A2 inside and it's 38 mm so just on the t
Guys, I have the possibility to get a 5296G-010 at a significant discount (10%) from an AD close to me. This watch has been on my radar for a while now but haven't pulled the trigger because of a mix of personal and practical reasons, none of which have to do anything with money. Maybe the most prominent reason is that I live in a very hot and humid city (Dubai) and I was told that the leather strap 'disintegrates' really fast in this weather if I choose to wear the watch on a daily basis, which I am planning to. The AD told me that, with daily wear, the strap would need to be replaced every 8 months! I also understood it is a very fagile model, although I would never wear it during sports activities. This watch is for my personal taste, and because of its simplicity, by far the most beautiful timepiece and I do not have any other in my wishlist (I do not like the 'bulky' 5227, nor the 'sector dial' or other gold versions of the 5296, nor the other overly classical Calatravas). Worth me
i have been thinking of getting the 5980ss for a while now, don't really know how hard it will be to obtain one since it's being discontinued, so i guess my best bet is the second hand market. I 've got my 5712r almost 2 yrs now, don't know if i should trade it for the bigger size nautilus?
I am considering purchasing a PP 5153g and would be interested in hearing from anyone who owns this watch. I currently wear a PP 5196r and love its elegance, but there is something about the face of the 5153g that I love as well. Cheers
