Need help comparing the A. Lange & Sohne Datograph Perpetual
A previous thread started by JBH II gave an excellent review of the A. Lange Datograph Perpetual (Thanks John). In follow up to that review, I would like to pose a couple of questions for any one of my fellow forum readers, especially those of you that either own or have had the opportunity to personally see and / or review any of these top end models.In John's initial review, he had listed that the current retail price on this model is $137,000 +/-. What is an expected discount off list price that would be anticipated for a watch like this from a Lange AD? Is availability a major concern? If so, how long?Comparing this Lange perpetual calander to that of other brands, which other specific reference models of other manufacturers would you put in the same camp, assumming the same relative price range and level of complications? I¡¯m going to buy a BLNR as my next watch. I love GMTs. Rolex makes the best GMTs in my judgment. I have always loved the black and blue bezel. I have the opportunity to buy from a TS at what I consider a fair price.With that as context, is it mistake to buy this week in the context of a potential upgrade to the 3235 movement?
