Difference between traditional and milled clasps
One of the significant differences between the traditional "tuna-can" clasps and the newer milled clasps found on the updated TOGs, Milgauss, GMTs is that it is easy for having four links on the 6:00 o'clock side.This is a real benefit for 6.5" wrists.The GMT-C bracelet on the left has four links, whereas the traditional GMT has the minimum five links. I wasn't aware they made this model without the day. I even ordered one without realizing it had the date only and not the day! Fortunately, I prefer a watch without the day of the week.
