Omega 231.10.30.61.55.001 wrist watches news:
Hi guys,I'm sort of stuck between a PO and SMP. The SMP in question is the latest black "Bond" style Co Axial (NON LE model).I love the gloss dial etc on the LE but just couldn't live with all the "Bond" stuff all over it! (Just my opinion of course). So to help me along do any of you have one and can you post pics etc please? The PO in question would be the 42mm black bezel / orange numbers.Cheers.Mac UK.
I have wanted one for as long as i can remember.......that day is here! I can't describe how such a small package can bring so much joy!!! My 1st Omega!!!!!!!Thanks Denis for answering all my pain in the butt PM's. And for all the advice!
I have been thinking about adding a simple Pilot watch to my collection for a whilebut when I found one that I think 'this is it'....I always found one little thing thatmade me think: "OK, it's nice, but I am not in a rush so I will keep looking untilI find one that fulfills ALL of my 'wish-list-parameters'.The above Archimede came pretty darn close, but the push-in crown insteadof 'screw-in' crown was a deal breaker for me.Alright....here are the criteria. If you, my fellow WIS know where I can find onethat covers all my points, please do let me know.....1) powered by automatic ETA 2824-22) SS spacer (NO plastic)(prefer 'top grade' with Incablock, but not necessary)3) blue hands4) dial & hands (strong) lume by Luminova5) pilot style large crown6) screw-in crown (NO push in)7) sapphire crystal (NO mineral crystal)8) preferring SS solid case-back (if it comes with see-through - not a deal breaker)8) $400 or less (generic, no-name brand OK)9) must be the 'date' version - preferring
Hey guys, over the weekend, one of my pams started to fog up when I went from the air conditioned house to very hot and humid weather outdoors. After searching the forums, I tried to air our the watch, dry it etc. It may have helped a little but it was still fogging up as soon as I put in on my wrist after about three minutes. Obviously one or some of the seals is no good. SO, I sent it out to RCI which is the Panerai authorized service centre in Toronto. I should hear from them soon in what the cost and repair should be, I will keep everyone posted.
So I thought I'd see what 'blunders' have been made by parting ways with a watch you may have had. For me when I got into this game was 2008. Shortly after having known nothing about Rolex apart from what I read he on TRF for months I picked up a Y series 11610LV full kit from a local grey dealer. $7700 CAD I think I paid and I felt too high but I wanted it. It was the most money I ever spent on a timepiece. I did wear it for some time but at the time it felt a bit lost on my bigger wrist. Soon after the big watch trend came about and I wanted something bigger...so I traded it for a DJII No telling what I would have done with it had I not traded it so I guess it could be worse.Anyone want to share a similar experience?
