OMG, how did I miss this release last year!? I recently learned about the Erwin Sattler Thesaurus desk, and my horology gland nearly burst. OK, so this is the ultimate watch lover's desk. It combines a pair of Erwin Sattler Rotalis winders that pop out of the surface of the desk " take-over-the-world villain" style, and drawers that store you watch related loot.? I have no idea why it is called the "Thesaurus," but I will need to one help explain how awesome this thing is.Part of what makes it awesome is just how utterly impractical it is. To have enough room in one's home for a desk solely dedicated to their watches takes a lot of dedication (which I guess I personally have), and a lot of (I mean a lot) money. Not only is the Thesaurus likely to be ungodly expensive, but to have enough nice watches to fill it with, and some empty space in your home that is dying for watch dedicated furniture. At this point you probably have taken your watch collecting to legendary levels. And yet we s

It is often a misconception that all Graham watches have the unique trigger mechanism for starting and stopping the chronograph. This design feature isn’t something that is easy to miss. Add to that the fact that most onlookers will bask in their own humour(?) with quips such as “Is that a cigarette lighter you have attached to the side of your watch” or “That’s good I was just looking for a bottle opener.” This common error is further compounded by the fact that public awareness of the Chronofighter is enhanced because Graham choose to use this radically designed watch as limited edition models to celebrate some of their sponsorship ventures in sports that perfectly reflect their own demeanour and courage: Namely, the Six Nations Rugby, the Isle of Man TT races, NASCAR, the SAS (although not a sponsorship deal, of course) and Ross Brawn’s Formula 1 Team. However, Graham do produce a few other styles of watches. Never a brand to conform to what
I have been able to take out the spring bars on a little Timex expedition but the Seiko has thicker bands and the spring bars are tougher to get to on the Seiko. I have just received this watch as a Christmas gift so I do not want to screw or scratch the watch up because it is really nice but I want to change the rubber strap and try out my Zulu strap on it. So how do I change it myself or I also do have a Timex store in the outlet mall that I work in and I could get them to take the bars out I think. Oh and yes I am new to watches and very new to these forums any kind advice would be appreciated.EDIT: Even just showing me what the spring bar area looks like so I know what to tug at and I do have the standard Seiko rubber strap on the watch right now.
