Watches & Wonders 2015 is happening in Hong Kong from?September 30- October 3rd. Naturally, watches-dealer will be covering the event, which is in its third year now. We will be there to check out showings from A. Lange & S?hne, Cartier, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Richard Mille, Panerai, Vacheron Constantin, Montblanc, Piaget, Roger Dubuis, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Baume & Mercier.Check out our coverage here at watches-dealer, but also be sure to follow our social media channels like?YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Google+, and Twitter?for our on-the-spot coverage. Look out for our coverage at #WWHK2015.The event is set amongst a shaky economic climate in the region. In Hong Kong, Swiss watch sales are down 21% in 2015. In China, the Shanghai stock market was down 35% at the end of August. What does this mean for the watch industry? Brands are going to play it safe, for the most part. Traditional style will be at the forefront, with complications giving way to simpler skeleton
Hey all - i was thinking about putting a black strap on my omega day/date chronograph. Without a microadjustment, the bracelet is always too small or too big.Do any of you have any experience with this? Or can you point me in the right direction of some place that can accomodate my needs. I think I might want it to be all original omega (clasp too). Thanks!
I was a frequent visitor to TRF (and the PP Boutique ! ) last year when I bought myself several PP's, including a 5140-G (white dial) as an every day wearer. I have recently been re-thinking my collection and decided to sell off a few of the discontinued classics to make way for some alternatives.. This has brought me back to TRF after an absence, which has led to the discovery that my trusty 5140-G is no longer in production. I thought that the 5140 was a real classic which would stay around rather longer. Does anyone know why the gold models were discontinued (leaving only the 5140P), and what has replaced them ?Oddly, a quick search threw up a post dated only a couple of weeks ago on another forum, in which someone was agonising between buying a new 5140-G and -J from an AD. I thought stocks were pretty limited even when in production, so it seems strange to see AD's still selling them. I wonder whether it is now attracting a discount (or perhaps a premium ?) once discontinued.
Hi guys, nothing complicated but I love this piece. Here is my 5127R on a sunny fall day
Greetings TRF! I am in the market for my first Rolex watch I have always wanted a TT Submariner. I also am far more attracted to Submariners with no date. Sadly, I don¡¯t beileve Rolex makes a TT Submariner no date.My new thought is to buy a Submariner 14060 and swap out the bezel, dial, insert, crown and handset for those same 18k yellow gold parts from a Submariner 16803, 16808, 16613, or any other TT (yellow gold) Rolex Submariner. I have a couple questions regarding this and I hope you nice folks on TRF can point me in the right direction.Question 1: Does Rolex make a TT Submariner no date?Question 2: Are those parts on a Sub 16803, 16808, 16613, or any other TT Sub going to compatible with the parts on a Sub 14060?Thanks in advance for all your help TRF!- AlLos Angeles, California
