Ferrari traveled a long distance since then and by the 1970s Ferrari had become the third largest producer of watches around the world and the largest producer in Switzerland. During the economic crisis in between the years 1975 and 1980 though the company suffered heavy losses and after a series of mergers and restructuring the Ferrari brand is now manufactured under the umbrella of the Swatch group.
