- beautiful watch but when i opened the box the battery was already dead. not only that, i went to 2 different places to take the back off to put a new battery in, they couldn't remove it. wasn;t happy returned to store.

Hamilton Byrd solid 14K yellow gold, circa 1930. The Byrd is part of the rare ¡°Explorer¡± series of 19-jewel, grade 401 watches named for famous explorers. This series used the Hamilton grade 401 movement which was built from Illinois grade 207 movements after Hamilton purchased the Illinois Watch Co. in 1928. The Byrd was named for Commander Richard E. Byrd, the famous aviator and polar explorer who was the first to fly over the North Pole. It was priced at $150.00 in 1930. Powered by 19-jewel Hamilton grade 401 adjusted movement. Hi, I'm new here and have a question. I have a Seiko pocket watch that I pruchased in Fussa, Japan in 1972 or 3. It has a sliver case with silver written on the back. I has roman numerals. Is anyone familiar with this watch? I haven't seen another since I left Japan and can't find any reference on the internet. I will post photo's when I learn how. Thanks in advance.Kent

Just Arrived: Orient M-Force Limited Edition
I just received my Orient M-Force SEL03003B Limited Edition Automatic Dive Watch today.It is a very nice watch, that could of course be worn diving, but also it could pass as a dress watch as well. The limited edition model, of which this is #857 of 1000, features a very elegant padded box, an extra polyurethane band, a carbon fiber dial, a race themed power indicator, and an etched back case which features the STI team’s finish in the Nurburgring 24 hour race.In addition to the extra goodies that come with the limited edition issue, the M-Force also has the 22 jewel Orient 40N5A movement, a 4o hour power reserve, a anti-reflective sapphire crystal, water resistant to 200m, and a case diameter of 46mm (the dial itself is probably around 37mm). Overall, size-wise, this is by no means an Invicta, monster sized watch. I'd have to call it a medium sized watch, that would easily fit underneath a the cuff of a dress shirt. Also, the second hand stops when the crown is pulled out, a

Wolves in NJ and Patek to the Rescue
This afternoon I picked up my shiny new 5522 and headed home to enjoy a beautiful fall day. I took my trusty 13 year old rescue dog Bella for a walk in the woods. I heard a rustling sound in the bushes and suddenly I was confronted by an aggressive and large Wolf. Please follow photos below I started to back away and my heart sank as I realized we were surrounded by an entire pack of vicious canines. They circled in a coordinated and choreographed manner as Bella started to growl back defensively.I began to panic as the alpha male started to close the gap between us. I suddenly noticed the sun ray cascading off of my 5522. I aimed it at the eyes of Kujo. As if awe struck by the sheer magnificence before him, he rolled over, whimpered and assumed a prone submissive position.While the 5522 has already received wide acclaim, I am here to confirm that the PP 5522 has the capacity to tame entire packs of apex predators and will result in the owner assuming the role of leader of the pa
