So like most of you likely do, I often ask around family etc if they have old watches that they don't want etc. I never really thought to ask my dad as he is not a watch guy at all and has never had an interest in them. Tonight, I thought why not ask!I gave my dad a call to see if he had any old watches laying around. He told me he had a watch from about 15 years or so ago that work gave him that he didn't like and is sitting in a box. The Worst Thing just Happen!!! What would you do?
Let's say a thief broke in to your house stole all your Watches. You didn't have insurance on them or anything, you just lose your beloved collection!!Would you start again??? Or would the pain be too much to be able to start collecting again. The reason I ask this is becouse I was talking to AD, we start talking about vintage watches and I ask him if he had any, he say that he only had one the one that he was wearing right now Omega PO, he told me that that 10 years ago someone broke into he's home and stole a decent collection of watches he had. As he was telling me this I can see the pain in he's face, it felt like he was telling me how he's mom die. Just curious if something like that happen to you do you think you would be able to start again??

After two and a half months traveling in Shanghai, Singapore, Bangkok, with ten or so visits to Rolex shops, I'd only seen a few sports/professional models available. On the way to the gate at BKK the King Power Rolex Boutique came in to view. One more walk through a Rolex shop I thought. It looked like a fairly large selection in the shop, but pretty much the usual. On the way out the sales person looked at me and said they just got in a couple professional models. One was a Sea Dweller. At 363,100 baht it seemed a lower price than I would have expected. The wheels started spinning and pretty much had to go for it. I asked if there would be any tax and there was none. Whipped out the CSR visa and the rest is history. Airport shops might be a fairly good place to check as he said they don't keep any lists.
