Invicta 11799 wrist watches news:
First off, let me explain that I'm not a current collector of pocketwatches, but I do like them nonetheless. I'm primarily a vintage Accutron collector, but have a soft spot for vintage Bulovas and a few others. I currently own two Railroad Approved Accutrons (both tuning fork models from the 60's) and love the dial style, and the fact that the Accutron was the first RR Approved wristwatch. I've read the book about Ball watches and the connection to RR approved, and am fascinated by it. My purpose here, is to learn a bit, and acquire a RR approved pocketwatch to go along with my Accutron models. I need to reread the Ball book and do some research for the basics, but I'm intending to try and source a model that has a nice, quality, RR working movement (serviced is good obviously) with a case that is typical of someone who used it, i.e., not a fancy gold model. I'd appreciate any assistance, and if anyone knows of a source that has anything like this in stock currently, please fee
She first saw this in an ad on TV during the US Open earlier this month. She liked it enough to draw my attention to it (always dicey as I tend to "get invovled" where watches are concerned;) ).During our recent trip to the Seiko store where I purchased my Orange Monster, she noticed another Seiko ladies model she liked. So that may be incoming when I get back from Munich (away next week for meetings and Oktoberfest).Today, while gathering info for my book, I bought her the Citizen she wanted. :)Fact - the book is titled Turning Clicks into Conversions (McGraw-Hill, March 2010), and one section was to be on e-tailer check out systems. I bought some watch repair tools through Amazon and this watch through Blue Dial (no offence to the folks advertised here, but NONE of them had the pink faced model she wanted shown on thier websites, so...). The idea was to capture what a good check out system looks like - what th eprocess was like. Both examples were super smooth and made me feel g
Happier than a witch in a broom factory.Happier than a pig in muck.Happier than Gallagher at a farmer's market.Happier than a dog locked overnight in a butcher shop.Happier than a seagull with a stolen french fry.Yep, I can honestly say I'm NOT in the market for any Omega watches currently! Here's why: Wearing both right now, cause people have two wrists and there's no sense wasting one.disclaimer: opinions expressed in this editorial have an indeterminate expiration date
After visiting the Breguet store...http://www.watchtalkforums.info/foru...orum/46876.htm...and a couple days of dreaming, I was a little forlorn about the prospect of finding the right model at the right price. Loved the 5197, but it's at least twice what I can comfortably swing. Really dug the 5920 too, but the date window at 3 spoiled it a little even though the price is in my zone. I think I have the answer now!The 3910BB! It's the exact same watch as the 5920 but without the date window. It's also possible to find pre-owned since it's not a brand new model. There's always the 5907 too, which is another model that's been around several years. So now the battle planning commences. The first few steps are done and after the first skirmish is over I'll see where I stand. This is really a ton of fun! I think I like the process, the anticipation, and hunt as much as the watch.
Thinking about adding one of these three as a true daily wearer to compliment a PP and 44 FC that I have. For the Black Themes and Diver the pricing is fairly close on the pre-owned market, both look good on a bracelet (already have one from previous 42mm AP pieces that I have since moved). The BLNR is completely different both in price and style, but is a contender as I tried one on at my AD recently and actually liked it. This one I would purchase new.And although I realize that this is the AP sub-forum, I value the thoughts of the members here. You have all cost my bank account dearly, but that's a different story Any thoughts on one over the others are appreciated?TIA !
