Bulgari CH 40 GL wrist watches news:
Please enjoy the following article contributed by legendary watchmaker Peter Roberts of England. Peter's new self-named brand is Peter Roberts and is about to release their first watch. It is 1969 and the streets of London are still swinging. As a young horology student, at Hackney Technical College, I am wondering where I will be able to get my hands on some top quality watches for practice. Surprisingly, owners of fine watches are not willing to risk their precious timepieces to an impecunious, novice watchmaker like myself. As soon as I was old enough to roam free, I discovered the wonderful delights of exploring London on foot, putting real life memories and images to those evocative, Monopoly Board Game street names. Now of course, I found the Kings Road, Carnaby Street and Soho, enjoyed the Royal Parks, and in the summer months, the unfeasibly short mini-skirts. But I had, and still have, this obsession ¨C watches ¨C so these three expensive (on the Monopoly board) streets, Oxford St
The Science Channel has a show called "How it's Made" They featured how a Blancpain watch is made, start to completion. Though it was a pretty cursory demo, it was pretty cool. It did, however, tell me that they don't put in near enough work to demand $100K for their watch.Drew
.and I mean that literally. Remember that I said I would receive my UG triple calendar moonphase today? Here it is: Yep, I didn't get it because Jesse bailed at the last minute because of some electrical issues at home. So what was I going to do? Well, I could tell you but showing you is even better.Had my loupe on me so the dial checked out perfectly. The case has the twisted lugs like a Speedmaster (dig those), the crown and caseback still have the logos (dig both those things too), and it's been running flawlessly since this afternoon. A Polerouter with a microrotor has been on my list for over 3 years, but I just couldn't find the right combination of this chapter ring, a crosshair original dial, and the crown + casback logos intact. Now I can cross that one off. Oh, and now the Corum is gone. That was traded as part of the deal. How about some shots of UG guts? It has a caliber 215-1. I'll find out the details on what year and such soon. The crystal has a few scuffs
I was at my local Sam's Club picking up dog food and stopped to check out their watch display and there was a Swiss Military on a brown strap that caught my eye.I've never heard of that brand, is it the same as Swiss Army? So what's everyone's opinion of Swiss Military?
Does anyone have a guide or information on how to change the bezel on a Debaufre Ocean One? Am I better off removing the bezel completly before removing the old insert? or can I remove the insert with the bezel still on the watch?Any help is appreciated.
