Seems there may be some guesswork involved, but can anyone help me figure out the year of manufacture for a Patek with movement number 5603xxx / 4750xxx?This is a recent piece where the certificate no longer has the four letter code. Look what I found!
I'm selling my house in NY and throwing out stuff I don't need. I came accross a small box with some of my father's things (he died in 1992). I thought I already had all his old watches which included an Omega, Hamilton, and Seiko. But in the box was this.The back of the case says it's 14k and the mesh band is stamped 14k as well.Thanks to ulackfocus I know that M6 means the watch was made in 1966.I took it to my watchmaker to try putting in a battery. Sure enough it started humming away and the second hand began it's smooooothe sweep.
