TAG Heuer CAH101B.BA0854 wrist watches news:
The sixth edition of the biennial Only Watch charity auction took place on November 7th at Geneva’s La R¨¦serve, with 44 one-of-a-kind timepieces, sold under the hammer of watch expert Aurel Bacs, Co-Founder of Phillips in association with Bacs & Russo, raising an astounding 11.2 million Swiss francs ($11.2 million) for the cause of battling Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. The highlight of Only Watch 2015 was a unique Patek Philippe Ref. 5016 Grande Complication (below) that sold for 7.3 million Swiss francs ($7.26 million), setting a new record for the highest price ever paid for a wristwatch at auction.Another standout was the Tudor Black Bay One, below (which we covered here), fetching a final price of 375,000 Swiss francs, more than 100 times its pre-auction estimate. In all, more than 300 bidders were in attendance, with numerous others bidding online and by phone. What is the time frame these were made?? And is the 770 movement a good unit. What is the value of one real clean with ,cleaned serviced with new reptile band. Thanks in advance.

So I noticed today that the rubber insert on the crown is a hexagon. If at the right angle, the top and bottom (if you look at the case from the side) of the hexagon can clear the crown protectors perfectly. If you turn the crown 45 degree more, then the pointy parts of the hexagon are kind of squeezed by the crown protector (even though I see that they added some clearance for this). Do you guys turn the crown until it is flat on both sides of the crown protector or let the pointy part of the rubber insert squeeze against the crown protector?
My newly acquired and modded 2254.50 was on the other side of the world when I bought and paid for it on Tuesday, July 29. The seller's listing included Paypal fees and FedEx shipping. The seller promptly shipped the next day, Wednesday, with delivery scheduled on Thursday. The watch arrived in the US (Indianapolis, IN) at 2:31 AM on Thursday and was promptly dispatched to Athens, GA where it arrived an hour later with the words: clearance delay - import.Apparently the watch was then returned to Indianapolis where it sat while FedEx requested additional documentation from the seller. At 9:10 PM on August 5, the shipment was released and at 3:36 AM, August 6, departed for Athens, GA again. Later that morning (11:47) the watch was finally in my hands. The experience reminded me why I had always used EMS for international shipments. FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc., generate additional fees acting as customs brokers which explains the delay in delivering my 2254.50. Fortunately I was in no hurry and
