Roger Dubuis Introduces La Monegasque Collection, We Go Hands-On
Earlier this month, Swiss manufacturer Roger Dubuis introduced their entirely new La Mon¨¦gasque line of watches within the historic Monte Carlo district of Monaco. The venue served as the inspiration for the young brand, who refers to their newest creations as "an ode to gaming, glamour and the Riviera." In their attempt to capture this spirit, they've built no less than eight models to comprise the La Mon¨¦gasque collection. We were there, and we've got the skinny on the best of the new releases.?Roger Dubuis (first seen here) has managed to scale their manufacturing capabilities to near 100% since their inception in 1995. Production is handled entirely within the walls of their Geneva facilities, where every watch that comes out the door carries the coveted Geneva Seal. For the La Mon¨¦gasque collection, new calibers were designed and built, meant to embody the next generation of manufacturing abilities for the marque. Push button style clasp bracelet adjustment tutorial
I found in some places, that MANY people, think that the new style bracelet, the one with the push buttons clasp, is just for big wrists, and that it can't be adjusted to small or medium wrists...Totally false, this bracelet, can be adjusted for a comfortable use in a 6.5" wrist and up...It's just a tricky way to arrange the links... but let's see how...The bracelet has two sides, we will see just one side, the adjustment of the other side is to be made in the same way...This is how the bracelet come from factory (maybe with one less A size link, that is attached on the other side of the bracelet...):It has three sizes of links as pictured:Will use these letter denominations in all the tutorial:A. Ok guys, I figured out the weight descrepency between the 44mm RG and Pt pieces!I weighed my watch with the leather strap on, 245.4 grams. Took leather off to throw the white rubber on for a fun day out and about. While apart, I decided to throw the straps on the scale... The leather strap weighed 12.6 grams. Then, I weighed my rubber strap, 34 grams, 21.6 grams more!The newer RG 26401 cases are slightly lighter, and said to be around 220-225 grams, and of course they come WITH the rubber strap. So, the Pt with the rubber weighs about 267 grams, or about 20% more.
