I've looked at the movement number and is inline with year, however its been 'overhauled', so my thoughts are, how original is the movement now? Overall, I like the watch. Help with Quartz watch problem...
Hi Everyone,My wife has a Cartier Santos quartz watch that has developed a problem. Basically whenever the second hand tries to pass the minute hand it gets stuck. If I adjust the time and move the minute hand it will run for another minute and then get stuck again. The hands themselves are not touching. Does anyone know if this is something that can be fixed? I can buy a whole new movement for around $300 so I am wondering if that is the better option.Thanks

I was looking around at the local AD and the salesman noticed my SD4k and asked if I wanted it cleaned up. I said sure, expecting some light wiping with a polishing cloth. It came back as if they boiled it in water. Apparently they steam cleaned it. I would assume the seals are good even after shooting steam right at the watch. Thoughts?
