TAG Heuer WAT2111.BA0950 wrist watches news:
Good Evening.I am new to your forum and I thank you for taking my question.I have been trying to locate information on a Wintex watch I own (estate purchase along with a '62 Seamaster) and I'm hoping someone may have some information to share on this watch. The watch is older (probably close to the Seamaster's age). Watch dial is orange with a black bezel ring (usual "10","20", etc. markings). Cyclops crystal. Marked "Wintex 17 Jewels" at top, "Incabloc" & "T Swiss Made T" at the bottom. Back is marked "Swiss Made-Waterproof-Stainless Steel Back". Numbered as "2225-5".I did see a note to the effect that Wintex group was acquired from the Montres Rolex S.A group in 1958. It appears they (Wintex) are now centered out of Italy. My question...does anyone know if Rolex actually put out watches under this name? If they did, is there anyplace to get info on the dates and possible styles?I guess the other possibility is that the purchaser of the group continued to market Swiss made w

I found this article today at Gizmodo and thought you guys would get a kick out of it.Bulova Watch Lost at Sea During WW2 Reunited with Owner After 67 Years, Still Ticking A Royal Navy veteran has been reunited with his watch, 67 years after he lost it during World War II¡ªand, it worked perfectly. In 1941, Teddy Bacon, a lieutenant aboard HMS Repulse, was throwing a line from ship to shore when the gold Bulova watch, bought in the Azores for $55, slipped off his wrist and into Gibraltar Harbor. The timepiece was never found, until the harbor was dredged, seven decades later. After seeing his watch splosh into the water, Teddy sent down a couple of divers to search for it, but without any luck. So, he informed the deputy harbor-master who logged the missing object. Fast-forward to 2007, and the watch turned up during the dredging of the harbor. When the authorities checked the log, they found Teddy's claim, and sent the watch, still ticking, off to him. Now 90 years old, the reitred sai
I've just seen a photo of someone's rubber bracelet from the NYC event recently. Silly thing to want but very fitting as I'm buying an Aquanaut and would love to have a band/bracelet to match :-)Is there any possibility of finding one of these somewhere?
Hey folks, I recently received a 005 from David that was smooth as butter. My question is has anyone ever brushed their polished case? Would it hurt the value if I decided to one day sell? Thoughts or pictures would be appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
