During this time they developed more derivatives off one base movement instead of many different movements in an attempt to standardize & streamline their production. Longines was also aware that many other brands were making a wealth of profit from less expensive, but still precise, movements. The 290 series was born of this turn in thinking, and you can see it is much less decorated than the 19A serie
Hi, I'm new to the forum, and I've only posted one other time. I'm looking to buy a new watch. I think I've settled on the 41mm automatic black aluminum bezel HydroConquest. I would very much welcome feedback on the watch. What I am looking for from this particular watch purchase is as follows:1. Dressy enough to wear with business casual clothing and the occasional suit and tie (I already wear a Conquest Heritage 40mm gold watch for formal occasions).2. Casual enough to wear with jeans and shorts in the summer.3. Durable enough for every day wear, the occasional swim, and the occasional hike (for heavy recreational activities, I already wear a Seiko Black Knight).4. Longevity enough to have for the next 20 years as an everyday watch.5. Unique enough looking that it is not a typical "homage" watch. From my research it appears that the HydroConquest I am considering is well suited to these objectives. What are your thoughts? Why should I buy it? Why shouldn't I buy it?
Is this a common issue among 5960 or 5980 owners?
Fellow Pelagos owners,Did you receive a extension piece when you bought your Pelagos? I just bought a Pelagos from an AD and I was only given two pieces for the rubber strap. I am missing the extension piece on the left as shown in the below picture:My question is, should that piece have been included? My AD tells me that recent Pelagos they have sold only have the 2 pieces on the right, without the extension strap. Is it an optional piece, or did Tudor stop including it with new Pelagos models?
