Skulls are a popular motif in luxury watches lately ¡ª check out our list of some of the most notable ones ¡ª and now HYT, one of the most unconventional watchmakers out there, gets in on the act in its own unique “hydromechanical horology” style with the release of the HYT Skull, available in two colorful versions.To create the new HYT Skull Green Eye and Red Eye models, HYT CEO Vincent Perriard gave his watchmakers a simple but challenging goal: make a timepiece that has a totally original look but still maintains the HYT watch brand’s signature style. “Simply taking an existing movement, giving it a vague skull shape and presenting it as an entirely new piece is not really our style,” Perriard says.?The watches, like previous HYT models, use a colored fluid ¡ª flowing through a thin capillary and controlled by the expansion and contraction of two vertical bellows in the movement ¡ª to keep track of the hours with the aid of a numbered scale around the dial.

Hey everyone.. Got a call from my AD Friday that he had something I might like to have.. Always curious to see what I'd like to have I ran on up to the store.. We talked a few minutes, he showed me the new Tag Heuer Grand Carrara's (very nice BTW) and then said he had something else for me Hummm.. What could it be? The Deep-Sea?? Wow, that was fast! No, couldn't be that??? Could it?? Humm.. So, what could it be????How about....A brand new..."M" series none-the-less.....STAINLESS STEEL DAYTONA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man, I'm LOVING this watch!!! Haven't taken it off much since getting it.. I gotta say, I was very surprised! So John - Can I get my Daytona Club Membership card now????

No AD in ATL?
I'm in Buckhead/Atlanta for Christmas and was looking forward to checking out some APs. I assumed that a big city like this must have an authorized dealer but when I checked AP's website I was surprised to find out that there isn't one. With all the athletes & celebrities that live here I must say I'm a little shocked that GA has 0, while FL has 3 I think.Anyone here know of an independent watch dealer that may carry APs in the Atlanta area? I was looking forward to checking out some of the ROOs to see how they felt on the wrist.

My new favorite..
Just thought I would share with fellow 'Patekoholics' my latest acquisition.. The 5905 in blue. It's surprisingly versatile as you can see in the photo, and I'm really warming up to the clean, modern dial. The 5960 will always hold a special place in my heart since it was my first Patek. However, the blue sunburst dial, along with the 42mm size makes this piece a keeper and difficult to take off the wrist! IMHO, Patek did a great job with this one. If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.
