Last week HODINKEE and Xavier Nolot (CEO of Audemars Piguet North America) hosted a private dinner for members of the company's board of directors, top Audemars Piguet clients, and HODINKEE readers to celebrate the launch of the new Audemars Piguet Perpetual Calendar 26574, which we announced here. Photographer and filmmaker Michael Benson created an astronomical-themed environment for the guests, using black and white imagery to create composite landscapes of the universe. Hey guys was trying to figure out why in some pictures, for example AP website, the ceramic diver bezel looks like the marker at 12 is half on the rotating portion and half off. If that makes sense. Please see the AP example with the half/half to me eye bezel And then what I think looks good, in this example a screenshot of fightonsc's diver. (Sorry for poaching your shot J, hope you don't mind) What am I missing here? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
This story is going to make you guys laugh at me. I might as well be the fool of the week. Couple of weeks ago, I had a thread posted regarding whether I should sell/trade my 2201.50 PO and 3570.50 Speedy Pro for the Rolex GMT II Master Ceramic. I knew I shouldn't flip these watches because they meant a lot to me. I KNEW I SHOULDN'T HAVE!So, I went ahead and sold both of them. With a big wad of cash, I went on the hunt for my GMT. I had the money to buy a pre-owned GMT. Except for some odd reason, I kept going into the Omega section of rolexforums and watchuseek. All these threads started popping up with people with their Speedy Pro. I said to myself, WHAT HAVE I DONE? I definitely learned something from this ordeal. Do not sell watches out of wanting something else because in the end, you are going to regret it. I just bought a brand new Speedy Pro and it is headed my way. The leftover money is going to be watch piggy bank for either the new PO coming out next year or the
Nothing profound or exciting by forum standards ....20 years ago today I bought this 16700.10 years ago I had it Rolex serviced.I should treat it to another service but it's going nicely and I couldn't subject it to spending it's birthday in the workshop.
