Looking at These Two Aqua Terras
I am interested in your experience with either or both of these watches. I am considering the purchase of one before the price increase on March 1.This one is the Aqua Terra Date. 39.5mm, Date, Caliber 2500. Love the white dial and gold markers. This watch is about 1/3rd the price of the one below.This one is the Aqua Terra 150M Annual Calendar. 43mm, Caliber 8501, Day Date. The version shown is from the Omega website. The day/date version is available from the printed catalog. They are identical as far as I know. This all black is very attractive IMO.Your thoughts please.

8n24 vs a china made movement
Is there a st or other movement similar to the 8n24 I have a bulova with an open heart dial and would like to replace it having a bear trying to find one that will fit the dimension size of the 8n24 so as to fit the case of watch

A Vintage Concord
I was wondering if anyone had any more information on the following watch. I posted it before to no responses, and seeing as how there's no Concord subforum, I thought it'd be appropriate here.I decided to buy this beauty at a nearly-new sale meant to raise money for one of the local hospitals (I also bought a bunch of suits and other clothes, but that's beyond the point). It cost me a somewhat bothersome $75 (as everything else at the sale carried the traits of being almost brand new and being dirt cheap). It was more than I wanted to spend, but it was to a good cause and I thought fine, it looked rare, and it grew on me.I was wondering if anyone knew any more about this watch than I could gather from the internet. I think it's from the 30's. I think it's a gold case, although it seems tarnished/mucked by what was probably years and years of use. Uh-oh....
OK- so here's the deal: I recently 'acquired' a minty-mint 2008 Speedmaster Pro 3570.50 from a buddy here on TRF (Thanks again, Bill!) as a kind of weekend/workhorse watch- aka something to wear that's maybe a little more 'casual' than my ss/plat Yacht-Master.So- I get the watch, head down to the Omega store on 5th Avenue in NYC and have a black rubber strap with white contrast stitching on a deployant buckle attached. ($405!!!)The customer service is fantastic there... no 'tude, and knowledgable, nice people! Glad to be part of the Omega forum now, too-So...to the uh-oh part. The Speedy is probably the most comfortable watch I own, and has been getting a lot more wrist time than the YM. I'd go so far as to say I actually enjoy wearing it MORE- for both looks and comfort.Just wanted to share this Saturday morning, and will post pics soon.... have a happy Holiday everyone!

Unexpected incoming: White C Daytona
Had a wonderful unexpected opportunity to pick up either the BLNR or ceramic daytona for MSRP. I couldn't really pick but the combination of the overwhelming opinion from this forum and trying both on hand pushed me to purchase the ceramic daytona.I must admit, it wasnt really on my radar and I was never particularly excited over it. Part of this was because i really did not like the 16520s. However, seeing the 16500 white dial in real life really surprised me. The white, black and slight red accent all combined to make something that is very reminiscent of the vintage Newmans, but with a clear modern feel to it. Amazing watch, will likely to be a long term piece as it complements my collection quite nicely.Here it is in all its glory!
