Tag Heuer CAR2A11.FC6313 wrist watches news:
It's great to find a forum where others appreciate the great "atomic" designs of the late 50's early 60's Hamilton Electrics. I just bought my first electric, a vintage Ventura that appears to be all original and in good condition. From the first time I saw this watch I wanted one. So it's been a long time coming. I went ahead and sprung for an original vs. the reissue. It has the 500 movement and the back of the case has been engraved, as the watch was a gift for somebody in 1959, if it could only talk.. It runs, then stops, then runs, then stops, so I will be sending it to Mr. Rondeau for a movement overhaul so it will run as properly as it can. I'm pretty excited about finally getting one. Hopefully there will be another one in the near future. It's like wearing art on your wrist.
I wasn't sure where to put this, ao I thought I'd put it here.James13: YOU DA' MAN!James sold me an Aussie Pro Diver and, man, this thing is gorgeous. It'll be my watch of the day tomorrow (hey, gotta' wind it, right?), and I can see this getting some crazy cool wrist time. Stainless, with MOP face; man, this thing is sweet!I don't have pictures yet but, rest assured, I'll get some posted this weekend. Thanks again, James!!!!!
Hi All, I just acquired a brand new 7018/1A two weeks ago. I was appalled when the crown was detached from the watch! Has anybody experienced this problem. Thank you.unnamed.jpg
Greetings - trying to broaden my horizons and venture into Paneristi land. I previously had my eyes set on a PAM00688 but acted too late to find one. I find myself lusting for the PAM00728. I love that its the smaller case but dont love the hand wound watch winding. any drawbacks to the non-automatic movement? I presume every time I wear this (this will be worn amongst many other pieces - I am a true degenerate!) i will have to wind it? does it wind while wearing if I move my wrist?TIA for all feedback. sorry if its a dumb question. I am used to watch winders for all other pieces.
disclaimer: I buy/support from both AD and Gray and am simply curious about 2 things. Grays get a few hot models from ADs even while ADs have waiting lists for said hot models.....1) Why would an AD sell to a Gray over a customer?. Moving out non hot models I get, but say Daytonas for example that have waiting lists yet grays have them. (or SS Its in the future)2) If ADs are nervous about selling to a customer who might flip the watch (contracts, etc) why sell to a Gray that will, as is their right, flip the watch?
