I wonder what you feel about the Chinese watch. When people hear "watch made in China," what is it that comes to mind? It is likely a combination of both positive and negative things. I think most people think of either inexpensively made mass produced watches, or counterfeit luxury goods. That would be an under-inclusive, yet accurate description of the goods that come out of China.China makes more than just that, especially today. The "high-end" segment of the Chinese watch industry is beginning to take a more impressive form thanks to volume and confidence. In discussing that brand over the course of a few articles I praised them for their Chinese character, and I made an overall assertion to the Chinese watch industry of what I thought it needed to do to succeed. Aquatimer bracelet
New member seeking info regarding replacing the rubber bracelet on my Aquatimer. Rubber bracelet is beginning to crack plus one loop was lost within one year. I would like to replace the rubber bracelet/band with the correct titanium one. I cant see spending $200 for another rubber one plus the titanium one looks a bit more "dressy."Any advice on price or availability?

What Constitutes 'Rare'?
Or, "Why do Thors get the big bucks?" In the last few months, since I've been watching Ebay closely, I've noticed something. There's ALWAYS at least one 'Thor' up for auction. Lovely watch, great movement, but it's a gold filled case. They always go for (relatively) big bucks.I have two gold-filled Hamiltons with the same 770 movement - a Peyton and a Chapman. I picked up each for about $60, in good running order.In that same time, I've seen 1 Chapman, and 1 Peyton. The former went for $85, and the other got no bids (starting price of $150).I understand that the Thor is a much more attractive watch than either the Peyton or Chapman, which are pretty mundane by comparison. Still, does the absence of them from Ebay suggest they're actually MORE rare than the Thor? The question's really just for my own amusement, since I know why Hamilton's asymmetrical watches are so much more desired.
