Technomarine 113013 wrist watches news:
Christmas weekend.. out and about.. sign at entrance to Paeroa, New Zealand as being the place for antiques.. this is what I picked up..100/179 PS on caseback.. apparently 100 for movement 1010, 179 for case style, P for plated, and S for centre seconds..Inside...Gave the dial a bit of a clean using the lemon juice method I have been succesful with before.. almost lost the Enicar logo as it started to float away.. oops, the writing on the dial are decals.. repositioned the logo and let it dry before applying a thin coat of spray lacquer...Before..After..End result...Cheers
Has anyone every bought a Dakota watch? I looked at one today, not very expensive, good warranty and first battery change is free.
So the white gold BLRO has in fact not been discontinued but instead ha been ¡°morphed¡± if you will. My first reaction was that the blue dial version of the Pepsi was simply a gimmick which breaks with historical DNA just to keep the high margins on this piece flowing. This may very well be the case but I see more now. While breaking with the Pepsi black dial history, the new blue dial is in line with the Rolex and other manufacturer history of offering certain blue dials exclusively on PM pieces. I am looking forward to seeing this dial live because I think it may be chameleon like, especially with the matte shading and could look almost black in certain low light conditions and very blue in bright sunlight playing nicely off the hues of the bezel. Rolex and others have also historically offered more ¡°interesting¡± or chameleon like dials on PM pieces and the blue Smurf dial is an example. For clarity, I am not saying that Rolex does not offer ¡°interesting¡± dials on SS models, jus
Was in a meeting with a client group today and one of the guys had a black face 116520 on his wrist. I happened to have my white face Daytona today. As i looked across the table i started to think how amazing the black face was looking and made me think i should add one to tne collection. If i ever nad a chance to get a ceramic Daytona the black might be the way to go.
Hi all,I purchased a new 116710LN in 2008 (with much help from the membership here!) and it has served me very well on a daily basis since.I recently had it serviced by Rolex in London but since it's return (about 6 weeks ago) I've noticed that the Power Reserve seems to be performing very poorly e.g. I wore it from 07:00 to 23:00 Mon to Fri and left it on my bedside locker Friday night through to 14:00 on Saturday as I was playing golf (so using a GPS watch) Sat morning and when I went to put it on at 14:00 I noticed it had stopped 11:40 which is about 1/4 of the Approximately 48 hours the Power Reserve is supposed to last per the Rolex specifications. Could this just be a function of the service and it will somehow loosen up and regain it's previous performance which was never quite 48 hours but would definitely last 36 hours of non use without stopping? Should I be manually winding the watch daily to ensure the Power Reserve is full and if so how long should a wind be? Is there a
