Technomarine 110068 wrist watches news:
It is not uncommon during the SIHH watch fair to hear the popping of Champagne corks and the clinking of glasses in the luxuriously appointed halls of Geneva’s Palexpo. This year, guests also heard the pleasant chiming of several new minute repeater watches from the exhibiting luxury watch brands. Here are four repeater watches from SIHH 2015 that caught our eye ¡ª and ear.The A. Lange & Sohne Zeitwerk Minute Repeater is the first Lange watch to combine? jumping time displays for the hours and minutes with a 10-minute interval repeater. The simple, legible dial belies the complexities of the movement and its chiming mechanism.? Since the time can be read quickly (jumping hours are displayed in a window at 9 o¡¯clock, minutes are on two discs of different heights at 3 o¡¯clock, and small seconds at the bottom of the dial), the wearer can then turn his attention down to the bottom of the dial, where the two black-polished steel hammers for the minute repeater are readily visible o
If you had the choice, would you take the older 16610LV or the new 116610LV ?
Having recently turned 50 (and received a bunch of monetary gifts from friends), I've been thinking about buying a brand new watch for myself. I have a budget of about $700 and have considered a Tissot PRC 200 automatic (stainless case/strap w/blue face). My preferences are for an automatic, screw down crown, stainless case/strap and the blue face.Any comments on this particular watch or any others that I should consider are appreciated.
Was just flicking about some posts and also did a search, about pocket watches and was surprised to see that not many results came up so I thought id start a new thread. My new fixation at the mo is pocket watches, just though I¡¯d share with you all, my little collection. The 2 Jaeger LeCoultre share, the same movement (picture 3) the first is a service watch for the British army, as both have issue numbers on the back, from, I'm guessing WWII and the second has been restored.Next up is 2 Waltham watches. This is another service watch for the British army, the lovely black dial has kind of a pearlescent finish to it, shame the luminous compound that was on the numerals has come off due to water getting in, hence the rusting of the hands.I plan to have it restored to its former glory keeping the dial as it is and maybe just having the numerals painted on and a fresh set of hands. The movement ref numbers indicate the watch was made in 1942 and there is army issue numbers on the back case.Th
But here goes...I travel a lot on business and pleasure, to major cities in the US and Europe, never have any reservations about jewelry or a nice watch on my wrist. Next month I¡¯ll be in Frankfurt, Munich and London with a long weekend in Bologna, Italy. That¡¯s where I¡¯m uncertain, never been before, traveling by myself. I¡¯m undecided - SS DateJust, fluted/oyster, Explorer or Breitling Avenger on blue rubber strap. Not losing sleep over it, just curious what other travelers think. Thanks.
