Richmond? Yorktowne? Other? Baffled...
Been trying to I.D. this beater: (removed auction number: commercial non sponsor)Can't make sense of it. Looks a lot like a Yorktowne and it's in a 10K case, but the dimensions don't match. Is it a Richmond with an odd face? (but I don't think Richmonds had a 10K case...?) Can't find a match in the catalog or with the watch finder. Any ideas here? Am I missing a key clue?

The National Watch & Clock Museum in Columbia, Pennsylvania, is planning an exhibit for 2010 that will present the technical and design development of the watch from the earliest pocket watches to the most modern wristwatches. I won a watch at my wife's Christmas Party. It was made for one of the local jewelry stores, Luisa Graff Jewelers, by Time Service International. I haven't worn it or even had it sized. It is an analog watch with alarm, date and water resistant to 10 ATM.Paper work that came with the watch says it has a retail value of $315.How much could I as in the open market for this? Thanks

Do you ever "like" a watch you wouldn't want for yourself?
Each day we are given the opportunity to "like" the watches our fellow watch talk members choose to display on their wrists. The styles, sizes, and color combinations as well as number of complications can be staggering. I will admit there are times when I will click on the "like" button for a watch I would not wear on my own wrist. Various reasons come to mind. I'm not a big fan of Roman numerals but some watches I like. Solid gold cases are not for me, but I can still like a good looking gold watch. 50mm watches are definitely not for me but some I like seeing. So do you some times find you "like" some watches even though you wouldn't want them in your collection? What do you "like" but wouldn't own?
