- This is a nice watch... plain and simple... with 'large' numbers and face. Easy to read day or night... the stretch wrist band is well made... durable and trendy.

- This was a gift to husband. Just because I was thinking of him. He loved the watch and so did I. I am purchasing a second watch for my dad for father's day.

As promised ~ here's the new Speedster with a new black croc patterned wrist band:
A decidedly under the radar Swiss power reserve that I have had my eye on for quite some time...been waiting to acquire one at a bargain price...will post pics tomorrow night if I am successful...
Interested in hearing which dive watch you can pull off with a suit/coat/tie best? I know the Rolex Sub can do just about any duty. DO any of you think rubber strap dive watches are dressy enough to pull it off? I just bought a PAM 24 and am considering purchasing a leather strap to dress it up to wear with suit etc. Most of my watches are dive with rubber straps.....I am casual dresser for work and when I need to dress up it seems I grab my Speedmaster or Explorer II both on steel bracelets. Thoughts on rubber strap watches with suits etc?
Hello Watch Talk! This is my first post and I hope its not a too-broad or annoying subject. I've only owned quartz watches and digitals in my life: A Swiss Army Victorinox officers that lasted 12 years and now has, according to the watchmaker, a short circuit or something as it drains a new battery in a week. A Swatch chronograph which runs fine but I don't really like. Several timexes, one which is 15 years old and still going strong. My latest acquisition is a 1997 stainless steel round face Cartier from my father, he passed away last week. It is a beautiful piece but I wouldn't want to wear it so much for fear of losing it. Basically I want to switch to automatic, I know they lose more time than quartz and recquire more maintenance, but as everyone else I appreciate the mechanical wonder that is an automatic. I'm looking for the most robust, well made, least maintenance required, most accurate automatic that isn't the size of a discman. I don't care if its vintage or new, just that i
For those of you who know me I'm a fan of larger watches, in particular RDs and Seiko divers.Over the last 3 days there have been 2 daily web deals on RDs. The price was so low they were almost free. AND I PASSED ON THEM!!!!:eek:What does this mean?!I'll tell ya what it means. I've just about scratched my Invicta itch. There are only 2 watches that I really want from them and they both require saving for. An SANIII with Valjoux 7751 movement and the othe is a Skeletonized Quinotaur RD with an ETA mechanical movement. Once I have these two I should be done withmy Invicta fetish....everything after that would be an impulse buy at best. Then I could concentrate on more important things like large vintage watches that I've missed out on or aquiring more watches of higher caliber than Invicta.I guess I've realized that I need to prioritize my WIS needs and an average RD just doesn't fit.
