After searching information on this forum the last couple of days, I must say what a wonderful place this is.I have had the same watch Tag Heuer for the last 13 years, my father gave it to me for particular things I achieved at school. Its been with me through every school prom, graduation, sporting event and business transaction I've ever made. With this in mind; I've always resisted buying a new watch even though I have a deep fascination for them.My taste of watch went from a Tag link, to the Omega SMP with the blue waves, various Rolex's, Omega PO (overall Omega is king to me). But for the last few years it has been the 50th Omega patch.This watch has the perfect mix of sportiness and style. It suits so many straps and looks just as great with a suit as it does it sports gear. The 50th is in my opinion the best looking watch out there both the face (though it would look better if it was enamel) and the strap.I have just picked one up but need to wait two weeks for it to arrive. A short look at SEIKO OEM vs. Aftermarket 6309 hands...
Hey guys, I wanted to just do a very short study and pictorial review of just what the differences are between real OEM 6309 Hands vs. Aftermarket. We all know that today with so many refurbished 6309divers watches floating around with many being retro fitted with aftermarket dials & hand sets from the Philippines, that it's sometimes confusing to know which is which, so we will take a quick look at these hands both real and aftermarket. (Not that there's anything wrong with refurbished watches, but some of us prefer all originals if we have the choice)First off, we'll take the type 1 set of Seiko (aftermarket seiko 6309 hands) and examine them at there main points of identification: These hands have semi sharp edges at the spear point head that have weak finishing and rounded edges around there whole length, the minutes hand has an extra long spear point which doesn't come close to OEM, the center shaft is wider than the seiko OEM hands and the meatball is larger and not well fin
