Greetings.I'm an aspiring writer working on a crime novel. I had the idea of making one of the clues having to do with demagnetized/magnetized watches, causing them to gain or lose time. Problem is I know little about it, and I was hoping someone (or multiple people, I'm not picky) here could answer a few questions if it isn't too much trouble.Basically any information would be of immense value, but the primary questions that have popped into my head are...Which is the correct term for referring to a watch that has lost/extra time? Demagnetizing or magnetizing? How long does a magnet need to be in contact with the watch before an effect can be seen?Does the length of time a magnet is in contact with the watch effect the severity of the time disparity? Why do some watches go faster and others go slower as a result of magnets? What is a best case, worst case, and general case scenario in terms of an effect a magnet has on a watch? I was skimming about and noticed someone said something
A few years back, I was bless to acquire an AP Safari, which at the time was an awesome piece for me. I then ran across a Panerai 233 dot a few months later, fell in love and wanted that one instead, so on the trading block the AP went(I know that there is no comparison between the two, but once I locked in on it, there was no stopping). Oh! by the way I ended up selling that one a couple of weeks after ( I got buyers remorse ). This past weekend I was in San Francisco watch shopping mainly for some Rolex gold (Mike/Kilyung and Tom/tkerrmd inspired) then I came across the AP line in two different AD's, one of them was Shapur Mozaffarian (great selection). I keyed in on one in particular, tried it on, it was a match made in heaven, so I planned on getting it as a X Mas gift to myself along with my wife's approval. I figured that I should give one of our trusted sellers a call to see if they had one and what do you know, one had just came in.It should be here in the morning, just
Hello to all!I have been a fan of Omega watches for a long time, just recently bought an Omega 50th anniversary, Bond LE.Before joining this forum, I had been on many times to read many of the threads on all of these fine watches. I know that for the most part, the Bond, 300m has not been fully appreciated, but it is my first Omega and very proud of my ownership.I would just like to say hello, and happy to be a part of the future discussions.
But isn't this watch the best ever made
