Tudor 7968 wrist watches news:
Do your watches match your personality? I have spent my entire adult life in the military and as a cop. My history of watches has been G-Shocks and various divers. Occasionally, I'd buy something else but ultimately it would get sold. Now don't get me wrong, I absolutely love looking at pics of fantastically complicated watches. Love to handle them, drool on them, etc. However, when it comes to buying one or wearing one for more than an hour or two I revert back to divers. The thing is, I don't even dive. I like them for the ruggedness, water resistance, and tool watch looks. How about you guys? Do your watches reflect your lifestyle and personality or do we have any lumberjacks wearing Pateks? (Not that there is anything wrong with lumberjacks) - David
Rolex 116713 GMT IIC.What an improvement with the new bracelet/clasp.The ceramic bezel is just awesome IRL and natural light.Sorry for the crappy pics. ¨C had to overkill them in PhotoShop to mask the lousy quality. Better to come when the light is back in cloudy Denmark.Happy New Year all
I got it from a Danish guy who has an excellent relationship to an AD in Sweden. The Milgauss is BNIB, has all the plastic on, and comes with the certificate without my name on it plus a receipt. I paid MSRP, btw. As usual, here are a few pics..There was a LOT (15 pcs) of plastic on it:I opted for the Milgauss over the DJ 116234 that I also had thought about buying for the following reasons:Size: I have had DJ's before, and imho it's just a bit on the small side for my wrist. The 40mm. Milgauss fits me better, imho.Looks: The Milgauss is just SO different than my two other watches. Also, you can use it both as a dress or everyday watch. You can dress it up or down. Also, I wanted something totally different from what I have owned before.Resale value: Had I bought the DJ, I would be badly hit if I choose to re-sell it. Although prices on the 2nd. hand market have gone down for the Milgauss GV, as well, still it is much easier to sell and get a decent price for, should I decide to flip i
We are two friends in our forties who wish to combine our love of old watches and the community feel of the web. Though not professional story tellers we felt that there is a place for our watch stories and memories. We hope it would serve our kids in the future. The watches are from diverse sources. Some were given by fathers and uncles who were happy to learn that their old and beloved watches have new admirers, others were found in various places over the years and some are from people all around the world who shared their stories. Maybe you have a watch story you would like to share? Welcome to our corner on the web. oldwatchstories Enjoy
I've seen quite a few threads on the topic of the Black Bay Dark and thoughts about how the PVD will hold up but none of them seem to have been updated by BB Dark owners. My son wants one and I'm curious if anyone who owns the watch and wears it regularly has an opinion on the ruggedness of the coating. Thanks.Nw
