Tudor 9101/0 wrist watches news:
As we reported in October, Switzerland¡¯s Competition Commission (Comco) has announced a decision to allow the Swatch Group, Switzerland’s dominant producer of mechanical watch movements, to gradually halt sales of those movements to companies outside the group in 2020. Here is a timeline of 10 key moments in the ongoing legal soap opera between Swatch Group and Comco.August 2002: ETA SA, the Swatch Group¡¯s movement-making subsidiary, announces that it will stop supplying kits of loose movement components for mechanical watches, called ¨¦bauches, to third parties. It plans to reduce quantities gradually over three years and halt sales as of January 1, 2006. ETA says that the ¨¦bauches business represents less than two percent of Swatch Group total sales and ¡°the logistics are much too expensive and complex to maintain such supply.¡±October, 2002: Switzerland¡¯s Competition Commission (Comco) announces a preliminary investigation into whether ETA is abusing its dominant position in the
A while ago this interesting LED watch was being displayed as a concept in Japan. I talked about it here in my excitement. Myself, and many others got really excited at the concept - though it had a few questionable characteristics that seemed to keep it from being practical. The big issue being power consumption, that I did of course mention. 100% even did exactly what I suggested they do, and that is display the time "on demand." This way you can maximize battery life by only displaying the LED lights when you want to see them (by pressing some button most likely) - saving battery life. Not sure where the button is going to be placed though. What is so cool about the design is that it is not really a watch, but a bracelet - one that has a hidden display for the time. The concept was very cool and I am happy that it will be available for sale soon. There has been no date announced yet but it should be within the next few months. Prices will likely be $400 and under given its electronic
L¨¹m-Tec is a brand we've been following since we first started w&w. Their mix of bold design, moderate prices and focus on listening to their customer’s desires (they are very active on forums, regularly taking comments and criticism from members regarding design) makes them a unique brand. In their ever growing line of mechanical and quartz watches you wont find any direct clones of larger luxury brands, but rather a refreshing array of distinct designs that takes hints from here and there. Previously, we've reviewed their M33 chronograph, a phantom style quartz that is solid as a rock, and two of their higher end mechanical watches, the Combat B16 and Super B2, both of which left a lasting impression. Now, we are taking a look at one of their newest watches, the V6.Case:? I'm considering with all the left had right hand and such that maybe I just might start wearing two watches at a time...in public. My limited research tell me that Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf and News anchor Brian Willams both wear two watches as did actor Rod Steiger.Seriously some folks have a reason to. I wonder who else does/did?(I can see why the Gen or a news anchor would.)
Hello.Looking to purchase SS DJ in black with stick numbers and plain bezel. I'm in the Los Angeles area. Because I'm in the military, the guy at the AD said he'd discount the sales tax (10%) and free deep cleaning, I think, for life. 1. How many of you prefer the blue dial? 2. Is this a good deal?
