Tudor 94010 wrist watches news:
Switzerland¡¯s Competition Commission (COMCO) has ruled that it would be ¡°premature¡± to allow the Swatch Group to reduce supplies of assortments (i.e. the regulating organ of a mechanical movement: escape wheel, pallet lever, balance wheel and balance spring) that it sells to Swiss watch brands outside the group. While favoring a continued reduction in supplies of mechanical watch movements, COMCO halted further cuts in assortments supplies. It rejected a proposed plan for a gradual reduction of both movements and assortments through 2021 and 2025 respectively. The surprise ruling is the latest development in a drama that has gripped the Swiss watch industry for two years. At issue is whether the Swatch Group, the world¡¯s largest watch company and the dominant supplier of mechanical movements and parts to Swiss watch brands, can legally reduce those supplies. In June 2011 the Swatch Group declared its intention to cut supplies and asked COMCO to investigate the matter. At Swatch¡¯s reque
The Omega enthusiast may know that after production ended on the Seamaster 300 in 1970, Omega’s lineup of diving watches changed dramatically. Gone were the bombe lugs and family resemblance to the Speedmaster. In it’s place, there were a bunch of chunky, colorful divers. In the middle 1970’s, the diving enthusiast could get a Seamaster 120 and 120 chronograph, two 200’s, the Seamaster 600 “Ploprof” and the Seamaster 1000. This article will concentrate on the Seamaster 200 “SHOM.” These watches are plentiful on the market and usually in excellent condition. The Seamaster 200 range consisted of the 166.068 in “Banana” and “Poppy” colorways and the 166.091 “pilot line”. As the story goes, the Service Hydrographique et Oc¨¦anographique de la Marine or SHOM, did not like the available options and commissioned Omega to build a 4th watch, the 166.177. The SHOM was a French government agency that produced maps a
Picked up a Planet Ocean 8900 yesterday. Had a Planet Ocean 8500 orange but flipped it about a year ago. Everything that was wrong with the 8500 has been fixed with the 8900. So far, I am loving it. It is very comfortable on the wrist. I am loving the new bracelet and clasp with the push button micro adjuster. Looks like it will probably give +/- 10mm of room. If you do need to throw it over a wetsuit, there's another diver extension you can open up. Although it's 16mm thick, it's balanced out very well at 43.5mm. My biggest dislike with the 8500 was that it was very top heavy at 42mm. Not the case here. Sorry for the poor iphone pics.
