- I LOVED this watch in the store, it's the perfect size and the rhinestones are the perfect touch... but after wearing it 4 times, the gold has completely faded off!! Would not recommend.

- I was looking for something to replace the watch I've worn for the past 10 yrs. While I don't know that this will last the same amt of time, as it is lighter and I tend to be hard on watches, it is a VERY nice, simple and chic watch. I've received many compliments on it already. I did have to take it to a jewelers to have a couple of links removed,

U-Boat 1216 wrist watches news:
I found a ladies wind-up 'Rolex' at a local junk shop and took a chance. Watch works, dial diameter is approx. 2 cm, has a screw-down crown and weighs 46 grams (1.6 ounces). Second hand sweeps like I think (lol) a Rolex should. Date magnifier bubble at 3 o'clock has a chip on the outer edge. Watch face says..."ROLEX PERPETUAL DATE JUST SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED SWISS MADE". Here are a few pics:Is this enough information to tell?Thanks/krono
I am interested in acquiring a Breitling chronograph (currently new to Breitling, I recently acquired a ss/gold Headwind), and have narrowed my choices down to:Chronomat (Chronomat Evolution)Super AvengerChrono SuperoceanAvenger SkylandBlackbirdI really like the Chronomat, but I am confused as to why it costs significantly more than the others listed (with the exception of the Blackbird). Can anyone tell me why it is quite a bit more in cost than the others? They all seem to have the same basic movement and functions - is it the fit and finish, the dial, popularity?I don't mind paying more but want to make an informed decision when I pull the trigger. Thanks,Jack
...where is a good place to post it? I hang out at Poor Man's Watch Forum and have sold things there. I am going to sell off a Hamilton of mine, but part of me feels like I should post it here so you guys can get a crack at it as it isn't one you see often. Plus, I hardly ever post here and certainly not in the sales forum. Linking is not allowed, is it?What should I do?Mods, if you feel this is not appropriate, just delete it, I won't be offended.Carl
I went to a nearby, big name jewelry store inquiring about their watch winders.I asked the sales representative. If I place a watch that is lets say half wound into a watch winder, 24 hours later the watch will be? I thought he would say half wound, but he said fully wound. Was he correct?
After contemplating for the longest time, I finally pulled the trigger today on my first AP. Unfortunately given my small wrist, I need a short strap and was contemplating options other than rubber. I was wondering if anyone has their AP on a different strap and would be kind enough to post some pictures? Currently considering going for either there GP strap with the red sides or the crocodile strap. Thanks in advance!
