U-Boat 5573 wrist watches news:
I cannot believe my thread about a Panerai homage just dissapeared. I understand many disagree with homages, but this site is, and I quote "A Forum for the discussion of all things related to Panerai". A Panerai is related to the homage (if only by looks alone). Someone deleted my question when I followed this forums description just because someone did not like my question, not that it violated anything. Now, I am a person who can easily afford a Panerai. I am new to this hobby. I purchased my "g-shock homage" , just to see if I could wear a large watch. However it weighs nothing, so I thought a Panerai Homage was the way to go to see if it was for me. I only desire authentic watches. It is very important that I leave my children good authentic things when I die. Now that we have determained that a Panerai Homage falls into the category (all things Panerai), the thread someone deleted (and gave no explaination by the way) was inquiring about the chances of me getting screwed buying th
Hello everyone,My father bought this watch in 1970. After 15 years of wearing it, he gave it to his brother, who lives in the US. After 18 years, my uncle gave it back to my father. My parents live in Spain, and the watch has been around my fathers wrist from 2003 till last night.Dingdong, doorbell rings.Long story short, my father gave me this very special watch. Needless to say, I'm the happy man! 9 years in the Spanish sun has done something special to this dial. It turned slightly brownish.
only got this today as realy fancied one but looking at pictures of others i can find i think someone has polished the heck out of the case as it looks too smooth and rounded? the pics i can find all look like they have crisper sharper edges or is this just how some are supposed to look?

Gentlemen, below is the thread I started over on the AP forum.... I look forward to hearing your views. Thanks.I am looking at getting my collection of Rolex down from 6 to 2 or 3, and then entering the rarified world of AP and PP. I'm liking the 15400 and the ROC, and also the PP 5167 and 5164.It may be my imagination, but I seem to read an awful lot about AP having serious problems of reliability. We don't appear to see the same thing over on the PP forum.Any comments from you knowledgable Gentlemen?
