- I like the way this watch looks , but I found the clasp in the back awkward since it was a 2 part clasp. Also, the watch surround is so shiny, I knew I would be constantly wiping smudges off, so I have returned it.

Hi all, one of my rare forays out into the open. I'm normally found lurking in the background, enjoying and learning!My GMT IIc is rapidly approaching its first birthday, and although I am still very much in love, my thoughts are slowly turning to rolex number two...Having seen JBHIIs beautiful red sub, with which he shares a birth year, I thought it would be quite cool to get a watch the same age as me.My question for you guys is what do you think is the iconic Rolex of the late 80s, or specifically 1987?Is it a 168000 sub, a Pepsi GMT, a DJ with a specific dial or something else completely?

Scratches on Seamaster
I know that John has written about how to remove the scratches from the seamaster clasp with a scotch-brite sponge which I will be doing soon. However, my watch is the 2200.51.00 which has a stainless steel bracelet. Is it possible to approach the bracelet, or even consider taking scracthes off, with a scoth brite sponge? Also, if it is allowed would one do it with the grain gently like John describes? I have had my watch for less than a week and it is already scratched. I am betting it is because of my wrist touching the desk while I type.

Longines vs. Tag vs. Omega newbie warning
Hello,I'm new to the whole luxury watch buying scene and My husband wanted to get me a nice peice of jewelry and I deicded I wanted a nice watch. I've worn the Swiss army watch I'm currently wearing through my undergrad and graduate school and it's still going strong with no visible scratches.With that said I want a watch I can wear everyday that won't go out of style in couple years, that has a feminine style and perhaps a little bling and that won't be destroyed if I wear it to the beach or the gym. I'd love to say it's a watch I want for my lifetime, but I'm fickle and will probably grow tired of it after five-ten years and want something different.I've been looking at the Longines hydroconquest with diamonds inside and outside the bezel, the Tag aquaracer with diamonds and the Omega aqua terra, which is a little out of our price range and seems more masculine to me. I've also been looking at the resale Rolex's but still a little out of range. I just can't decide which I like the be
