AT LAST!!! Decision made but which one?
Well my friends after all this time I am at the end of my horological odyssey!The deal is struck, the deposit placed and the deed done!You know that I have dithered about one watch or another for what seems like years, in fact it has been in totalFirst I dithered about which dress watch to buy! A Deville PR? A Zenith? A JLC? etc...etc...! Then about selling the Rolex SD and eventually doing so and buying a JLC Master RDM.Then I wanted a diver and have been dithering about that for a while.But I have made my decision after trying one of these on at an AD today (not my local AD).I have taken on board all the advice and opinions recieved via this forum and choosen. This watch just spoke to me and made me smile big timeThe other options still created a desire and it was a tough decision and not one that I anticipated when I first started my "short list" but as Highlander said "There can be only one" (for now)I have flitted from one to the other and would probably have continued doing so un

I was first on the list at my AD for the new Sea Dweller. I passed on the chance to buy it when I learned it was 43mm. I told them to call me the next time they received one. I got the call earlier today. I passed again. By the way, I can buy the watch new from the AD with a slight discount and no tax.I already own a dozen or more Rolex watches and a bundle of others. Why should I buy a watch that I find way too large and heavy...? Just because I can and not everyone can...? Or maybe I ought buy it because it is supposed to be so ¡°sought after¡±...? Is the all important deal maker the small print in red...? Or maybe because it¡¯ll be cool to post a picture here and get positive reinforcement...? After all, how many watches can a man wear...? As a matter of fact, what I like about Rolex watches over just about all others is that a Rolex is dependable and durable like no other. So one watch is enough and will last you just about forever.
