U-Boat 1218 wrist watches news:
Had a hard time finding the right bracelet for my Seiko Bullhead chrono. The original fishbone bracelet looked great but just didn't fit right. The fishbone feels thin and flimsy; a little too flexible and doesn't support the weight of the watch head well. Couple that with the fact that I couldn't size the bracelet down enough for my small wrist and the heavy watch ends up flopping around on my wrist like a dying fish.Tried it on a Watchadoo lumpy:Very solid and stable on the wrist, but a little too heavy. While the lumpy style works with the watch better than you may think, it still wasn't right. Finally got some in some shark mesh bracelets that had been held up by the Canadian postal strike.Tried it on a 20mm shark mesh..BINGO!!! We have a winner!Whatta youse guys think?
Here is a small classic for American guys who wore this great classic DW6600 - now discontinued. Guys now will choose the DW6900. The DW6600 was a favorite for police, firefighters, EMT members etc. It stood the test of time as a rugged no nonsense cheap digital watch. I decided to pick one up in the used stores around me in Japan.montage DW6600 Helicopter by blingmeister, on Flickr
Hi All,I was recently lent a Stainless Steel SeaWolf by my local AD for a review, which I posted here a little while ago. After my review I really, really wanted one. However, when I spoke to my local AD he said he had a BNIB Ti SeaWolf that he could sell me and then would give me my full money back when I upgraded to the SS SeaWolf. A no-brainer really. However, I'm not sure I will want to sell this Ti SeaWolf. I love it. It truly is the definitive, utilitarian, designed-for-a-purpose tool watch. I'm not sure I could find another NOS Ti SeaWolf at an ADs if I were to change my mind. Here are a few quick and dirty pics I taken at work. I will post better pics and a mini-review shortly.[/quote]
I see so many different models! I am interested in an automatic w/date. Which should I choose?I noticed the MK40 am/pm which is very sharp, but does that am/pm act as a gmt? if so it might be the perfect watch!
Would appreciate thoughts on the following: I bought a BNIB 112 this past Friday. I gave the crown 30 full winds Friday evening, and the watch stopped by about 1:00 PM the next day. Saturday evening, I gave the crown a full winding, to the point where I felt resistance in the crown. Sunday afternoon, I gave the crown a few additional winds. The watch stopped at approximately 2:00 AM Monday morning. I though a full winding would give me 48-72 hours. Should I be concerned? Take it back to the AD?
