- Use as everyday watch and to time splits in water and running. I seriously sleep and shower in this watch. I love it and it is totally practical. Best watch I've ever owned.

U-Boat 50-CAB-CF wrist watches news:
Well, it arrived today - the 22A project watch. The seller was very honest about the condition. It's in a little better shape than I thought, but the stain at 3 might be a challenge:the case is a little beat up, but cool lugs:it's from 1950 according to the serial number:case reference 2674:All in all, finding these intact with correct parts and not redialed is tough enough. This one and it's sister (the 22AS) will probably be going in for restoration at the same time a little later on. I really wasn't planning on adding this, but the opportunity arose and I had to grab it.
The Manager of Capability Scotland has asked me to look at this Omega that was handed in. She wants to know if it is real and what is wrong with it. Having taken the back off, I think we can say that it¡¯s a real Omega Date Quartz watch and going by the serial number dates to 1979. When turning the crown, there is a grating feeling and only the hour hand a date move, the second and minute hand do not move when turning the crown. Any help and advice would be appreciated. Brian
SO I am happy to say that since acquiring my 5146R on the 8th the watch has only lost 4 seconds after continued use. (since the movement is not hack-able i noted where the seconds were in correlation with second 0 on time.is when i first set it. Out of my collection so far this seems most accurate with only my AP (at -1 per day) and my UN at +1 per day on average getting close to those results. All my Rolex are at +2 or more per day. The Quality is inherent it seems. And just for fun here is my pic at dinner last night: (also shared in WRW today so sorry for double pic post) pp_sushi.jpg
I'm sure that this question has been asked before countless times before, but I'm in that position right now, and I'm having some trouble trying to decide between the two. I love the OP logo on the 000, but prefer the sandwich dial on the 111. I personally don't need a clear caseback, but it would be a plus since I recently purchased a macro lens, and the 111 would allow me to attempt some detailed shots. Anyone have any thoughts/comments on this? Or any suggestions? I'm looking to buy a used one, as this will be a transitional watch as I aim for my grail.
Hi All which would you get and why? Which so you think will be more collectable and why? I think the 2 liner is cleaner, but a 4 liner is a lot rarer.
