He’s back… and WatchTime’s got him. Our November-December 2012 issue featured “The Terminator’s Timers,” my profile of Hollywood icon and influential watch collector Arnold Schwarzenegger. Now, exclusively on , you can hear excerpts from our interview, conducted at Schwarzenegger’s Santa Monica office. In these clips from the interview, the actor and former California governor talks about the “watch drawer” in which he keeps his collection, his disdain for winders, the origins of his relationship with Audemars Piguet, and his role in the big-watch revolution.Receive all the news, features and reviews from WatchTime for free! ...longshot I know. Anyone in the Lower Mainland interested? Here are the details for this event.
The National Watch & Clock Museum is presenting an exhibit in 2010 on the art of the watch maker, from pocket watches to modern wristwatches. As we've been planning the exhibit, we wondered how many "museum" pieces are in private hands...and whether those hands (wrists actually I guess) would be willing to see them exhibited as part of this great exhibit...Can your watch be exhibited next to a Tompion or Breguet pocket watch from the 18th century or a Blancpain Repeater wristwatch? If so, let us know and we'd love to consider it as an object for exhibition.Hope to hear from some of you!Noel Poiriernpoirier@nawcc.org
Finally, I'm able to wear this baby to work, thanks to the new arrival of my shirt with XL cuffs! Cheers!
