Franken or mule?
Ebay auction on now; item# 130511667351 is a Richmond. Everything looks right except all the hands are wrong (the minute hand also appears Rhodium plated) as well as the movement. It's a 982 Medallion serial# M20502 circa 1942 which does corroborate with the inscription on the back. The movement should correctly be a 982 serial# J prefix, as this model was only made through 1940. I'm a purist and when it comes to the rarer watches I'm not sure what to call this one, but certainly I'd think the value would be negatively effected. So what's your opinion, Franken or Mule?

Going through boxes and I just found my Timex Indiglo from 1993. Put a battery and found a strap in and voila! it works. Amazing how tiny by today's standard too.I think I'll wear it today.

Tissot Powermatic 80 test
Did a weekend test of my Tissot Luxury (their name, not mine) Powermatic 80.I wound it as much as I dared and set it to the time server and let it go on Friday night at 11.On Monday evening, it was still running and it was 1 second off the server. It stopped running at 2pm Tuesday morning. So that means it went 75 hours without winding.One question for you guys, can you over wind a modern watch? And in this case, how can you know when the watch is fully wound? I think I quit winding in fear of breaking it.Of course, accuracy is going to be affected by wearing it, but I thought 1 second over three days was pretty good and it lives up to Tissots claims that the modified 2824 is supposed to be more accurate, even without the COSC tweaks.
