Omega 31130423013001 wrist watches news:
At Baselworld 2015, Blancpain adds a new watch to the Villeret Collection: the Blancpain Villeret Grand Date. It will be the first big-date watch in the Villeret line, and it recasts a caliber that Blancpain presented in 2005.The Grand Date is built on Caliber 6950, an automatic movement that is 32 mm wide and 4.75 mm thick. The 6950 has two mainspring barrels for a 72-hour power reserve. The movement has 285 components, among them 35 jewels. The big-date mechanism is designed to shift instantly at midnight. Caliber 6950 has a free-sprung Glucydur balance wheel and gold screws for fine adjustment. The balance spring is made of silicon. The dial has a subtle sense of depth. Rose-gold hands for the hour, minutes and seconds sit atop a silvered opaline dial. The hour and minutes hands are thickest at the middle, where they bear luminous material, before tapering out. The applied Roman numeral indexes for the hours emerge from the dial to give a greater three-dimensionality. The two windows
Here is a video clip of my new Ladymatic. She is simply stunning. This is my first automatic timepiece and I could not be happier with my decision.Cheers,Linsam
Purchased this watch May 24, from my local A.D.I decided to do a time test on the last watch that I purchased (my Hamilton).I've done the same to this watch, and this watch has given me a little surprise.Wednesday night I set my watch to match my radio programed clock that came with my Orbita watch winder.Four days later my PO is still within a second of the Radio clock.I had to take a photo of this, it was just to tough to tell by glancing back and forth between watch and clockI listed the second hand as being on the 07. It is just to the left of the 8 second marker.I think I did a nine day test on the Hamilton, and it was and still is plus 6 seconds per day. Looks like this Omega might be a plus 0.222 seconds per day.
Got a little bit of christmas money so I decided to pick up this little beauty used on a whim. The seller claimed it was a Limited Run, number 164 of 264, but I'm pretty sure L164/264 is the model. It's a Tissot LeLocle L164/264. Not sure how old it is, but I can't find much info on it. The current offering LeLocle doesn't look much like it. A quick google search found a stainless steel version on a black strap. Here are the seller's pics:
So having tried both watches I'm torn. Both have great history, quality fit and finish In house movements etc. Both watches have good dimensions and love how thin they are for chronos.Initially I might have to give the nod to Zenith for 2 reasons:The incredible chrono movement which is what Zenith does best and the fact that it's less recognized in the states. I see quite a few Breitlings and very few Zeniths.Love to hear what you all think. All the best
