Rant!!!
The best thing ever about watch collecting, is opening the mail,and finding a blue velvet box, peeking inside you see a mint condition. 1950s watch with its original strap and price tag. This was the first time it had happened to me, the smile was ear to ear!The worst thing about watch collecting, putting the watch on the wrist,to show it off, to have the strap break, watching the watch hit the hard floor, seeing that the watch still is a ticking, but the minute hand is missing, on closer inspection, its laying in the bottom of the case.Lessons learnt, dont know yet. but I had to RANT at somebody, and it seems, that more people would understand here!Many thanks:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Chicago Botique experience
I recently brought my speedmaster professional moonwatch into the Chicago boutique for a warranty repair. I bought the watch from an jeweler in the Chicago area. Unfortunately the jeweler is no longer an ad. The hour regester sub dial was no longer resetting to true 0 and was only resetting to about 1/8 of the way between 12 and the 1 hour marker. I'd been putting off the repair since I was enjoying the watch and it was only a hair off. The people at the Chicago boutique were really nice and I ended up getting the watch back in just under 3 weeks which is much shorter than they quoted (under promise and over deliver). It also seems like a better experience than others have had on the forum.

Rare SS Speamaster recently sold in Japan
I saw this for sale recently but was too slow with the trigger and it's been sold. I know jmsrolls (Fr. John) collects Speamasters (a few Seamasters made in October 1998 had Speedmaster) erroneously printed on the dials) but I hadn't seen a SS one before. This one is a 36mm 2501.21 model.
