16550 Ivory Explorer 2 bezel question
HiIt is generally accepted that the Explorer 2 ref 16550 came with a bezel with a fat font. The "2"s in particular have a flattened and thicker look to the bezel on the later 16570 model. I have a rail dial 16550 from 1987 with the 16570 type bezel. At first I did not think this was original until I bought a Rolex catalogue from that year and it clearly shows the 16550 with a white dial, white gold hour dots and hands and the 16570 bezel. Was this done as a rolling change?ThanksGF

:):)I'm not sure where it is exactly, but I'm sure Mr Houston or Mr J. knows where we can find the article on the testing that was done before the Speedy was space qualified. the Speedy went through some very rigorous testing for sure..we'll see if we can find that, it's information well worth revisitingdiver88:):)

Dear all,This is my first time to buy an API found this watch with a good price and i want to know its model,The sellers are good people i know them, while they say its a new/ unworn AP, 37 mm - model 2016I want to know if anyone knows this model (photo is attached) and if anyone knows its average price.Also i want to know if a 37mm ap can be suitable for me as a male watch or it is too small to be a male watch (from ur perspective)Many thanks :)

Expensive service no good
A friend was having trouble with his Submariner stopping at random. He had had the watch from new and decided it needed a service. It was sent away to Rolex at a cost of ¡ê520 and was away for 3 months. When he got it back it was all shiny like a new watch but was still stopping. It has been returned to Rolex with no promise of a quick turn around that's not what I call a good service.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
