What's up with all the accuracy talk??
It seems that the accuracy question is coming up in different ways in various fora here at WTF.Are some of us really obsessed with accuracy?Face it-automatic and mechanicals will never be accurate enough to some people.The Swiss agency that certifies the best of the best has a 10 second window that expresses the acceptable accuracy rate of the most highly rated automatic movements in the world.(-4 to +6 seconds per 24 hours) Non certified movements are usually up to 15-20 secs, off per day.Yet it seems that many are off to the watch maker to get their watch regulated even if it fits COSC standards!!I used to track the accuracy of my autos to see if they remained consistant in their rates rather than look for "spot on " accuracy. (which is practically an impossibility in a non quartz driven watch)In the watchmakers eye the fact that a watch is consistantly running at a rate of +5 secs day is far more important than a watch that runs at +2 secs a day but varies depending on position etc

AP Polish HELP
Hey Guys,I picked up my Royal Oak Chrono Gold in March and have been wearing it daily until recently. I've been showering/swimming/working out with it and it picked up a couple scratches. None of them are deep, but they bother me. I just picked up a Panda for daily & will be wearing the RO on the weekends. I want to send it in to AP for them to inspect it for a 3rd year warranty & have them polish it. My Q is: does anyone know the cost/time of polishing? And will my watch look different if i get it polished or will it look as it did new?Thanks in advance.
