Ulysse Nardin 353-66/323 wrist watches news:
Last year Max Busser of MB&F was telling me about the C3H5N3O9 mini watch brand before it was debuted later in June of 2012. He didn't mention it by name, but did say that it was going to be a collaborative project between his team at MB&F and their colleagues at Geneva-based watch brand Urwerk. Together they were going to experiment on a watch designed by them both, under a new brand name, that was going to be marketed purely by word of mouth. That means no advertising whatsoever, and no media outreach (aside to select places such as watches-dealer). The irony to me is that given their desire for the C3H5N3O9 to be spread via word-of-mouth, they sure gave it a difficult enough name to remember. "Yea man, there is this new limited edition watch by MB&F and Urwerk. I don't recall the name, but it is the molecular name for nitroglycerine." Imagine a dozen more conversations starting like that. C3H5N3O9 is also a disaster to try and say out loud.I'll give it to the guys that "
Many of you may not have a "junk watch". I did not think there was one in our house until my wife found one tossed in a box. So, I thought, many of you may. She picked this thing up about 20 years ago and put it away (lost it) about 16 to 18 years ago to the best we can estimate. Anyway it obviously was not running and she asked me if I thought it would with a new battery? I told her, who would care? She then let me know she did so off with the back and off to Wally World I go. Slam in the new one and presto, the thing is running! That was about two months ago and it has gained all of one minute! The brand is "Jordache" obviously something they had made for as an ad gimmick. Buy two pair of jeans and get a watch for $1 or something like that. Stamped on the back it says, Japan which surprised me I really thought it would be China. Also it states, base metal with ss back. So even though they probably made about a half dozen to a dozen of these for the cost of one battery ($4) it is runni
I used to think that the royal oak style case was a bit old fashioned and not to my liking, then I got a bit older and my taste refined a little (I am only a young 42). Now after a fair bit of deliberation I'm one sleep away from owning a hexagonal timepiece. Can't wait til tomorrow.
First of all, thanks to all the Pam community here on TRF. It was so helpful to hear from so many people each time a 'newbie' like me posted some silly question. The photos you guys post and your knowledge of these watches and explanations about them really pushed me into getting my first one.It was a hard decision as I do not take a 'big' purchase lightly. My last big watch purchase was 19 years ago, so I make sure I know exactly what makes me happy and hope I will be able to look down at it years from now and have it still make me smile. So without further adieu. Here was the day in photos. Cheers! Had to check out the competition, 422, 372. Just to be sure what I was going to get.And the very hot 422 is beautiful. Kinda like a giant 111. That 213 was beautiful as well.I want one of these Straps! They are giant. JK, that is a belt that matches the Pam buckles. My Wife trying on a Hulk, she loved it.A decision was made and a Bank envelope filled with paper for my 'dealer' was offered
Just came home and found this in the mailbox ... It is not a watch, but nice.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1387396183.684222.jpgSent with iPhone using Tapatalk
