Vacheron Constantin 17626/S13G-9479 wrist watches news:
More of what you love - watches, talking, and crude references to dog collars. As I write this I am in Geneva getting the scoop on the latest new stuff. Poor John can't be here.Listen to the HourTime show watch podcast episode 52 here.
Is the Hannoush Jewelery chain Omega AD's? Has anyone bought an Omega from them on-line or other? They have two models that Omega doesn't make anymore that I'm really interested in on their web site but in the description it states "includes serial numbers". That right there makes my Spidey sense tingle.Let me know your thoughts.
The ref 9-90- is in my opinion one of the most beautiful in house movements made by PP in the ¡°golden Age¡± of watch making. Beautifully engineered the rectangular movement made between the late 1930¡¯s and mid 1950¡¯s was clothed by the most spectacular rectangular cases. With inspirations from both the art deco and the art nouveau period these pieces have never been bettered in terms of design- often copied by re-editions such as the Pagoda (ref 5500) and 10 day ( ref 5100).The movement is a rectangular work of art measuring 18 X 25.6 mm. It was released in 2 batches. Movement numbers 830 000 ¨C 839 999 between 1934 and 1950 whilst the movement numbers of 970 00 ¨C 977 889 between 1947 and 1967. ( yes that late!)This makes a total of 17 888 movements made, however not all of them were used ¨C witness the latest release from PP the 5105 to celebrate the opening of the new PP boutique in Geneva. A few movements just happened to be found for the release of this platinum masterpiece. Who know
I popped into one of the the Singapore AP boutiques the other night to see what they had on offer and tried on some lovely pieces and experienced a great level of service and enthusiasm for the brand from the staff. All in all, it was a delightful visit. I¡¯m not allowing myself to buy any more watches this year, so no incoming to report, but the decision on my next watch has become more difficult. In a huge fan of the blue dial ROC, but the 15400 in grey is quite amazing. Alas, the ROO PT is not in the cards for me!They had a couple of very nice vintage pieces on display. The re-release of the ROO now has me particularly excited.
This is my Friends X-33 that he purchased while flying F-18's for the Sunliners squadron out of NAS Oceana...Omega did all the work in house and the cost to the pilots was $600 when the retail was $3000..Sorry for the quick and dirty Pics...
