- I purchased this as a holiday gift for my boyfriend, who typically dresses relatively casually. The design ( face, monochromatic color scheme...) is suitable for both casual and more formal outfits.

Panerai PAM270 wrist watches news:
I tend to think that the best way to understand an icon of today - you know the types of watches I'm talking about, the Speedmasters, Submariners, and Royal Oaks of the world - is to take a look at the earliest iterations; the watches that left the factory first and set the overall tone for a particular model that would change wristwatches forever. So, just like I did for the AP Royal Oak "A-Series" here, I now present you with a detailed look at the earliest examples of the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona. I'll tell you what to look for when examining early models and how to spot the only 50 year old Daytonas out there. I'll be honest, this was a really fun article to write and I think you'll love it. This is old school 'Dinkee goodness. The Very First Rolex Daytona 2 OF 28 To many collectors, Rolex chronographs are grouped into two categories - Daytonas and "others". And while Rolex has been making chronographs since the 193
I've coveted this model for a long time, but for many reasons, never got one until now. Love sword hands - had the 2542 several times, always admired the original Seamaster 300 divers and will get one soon - and the world class P. Piguet column-wheel movement. Yes, the hands make the subdials less readable than skeleton style ones, but they look so much better to me. Also, I like the completely brushed links on the Speedmaster style bracelet, which is unique to this model. IMO, this model is criminally under-appreciated, and due to low production and timeless looks, its value will probably skyrocket in the generation to follow. Get yours while they can still be found in mint condition for a reasonable sum!
Apologies in advance for bad photo from cell phone.I need to quit reading these forums - it is bad for my bank accounts!Well, after a long, long period of deliberation, I unloaded my 116520 Daytona and settled on a Patek - an aquanaut 5167.I'm pretty thrilled! It is weird to be without a Rolex for the first time in 10+ years (I've owned 3). But the PP is really nice! Here's a quick summary of why I made the switch. Usual caveat that these are my opinions only.Downsides for the Datyona - I found legibility to be poor due to lack of anti-reflective coating and very busy dial. And the watch never really sat comfortably on my arm and was in constand battle with my shirt sleves. Also, I wish I could see the movement!Upsides for the Daytona - Looks incredible and has an amazing history. Every watch fan should own a Daytona at least once. Rolexes are built like tanks. No need to baby them.Downside for 5167 - Wish the band had some micro adjustment feature vs. using a scissors to cut
Just to get away from 'things'?This one is so easy to photograph.Happy Easter.
