[IMG][/IMG]How do you keep it clean? Thanks,Randy
Pulled the trigger for the 1st AP of this year and my dream AP.. Awaiting take over.. Awesome day! Watch this space..
My wife and I had to do a little holiday shopping this weekend so we braved the mall on Saturday. I expected a twenty minute drive around the parking lot but as I pulled around the main entrance, someone backed out of the first spot and we got A-List Hollywood parking. Shoulda known something good was about to happen. So we¡¯re wandering around picking up gifts and swing by the local Rolex/Omega dealer, which we do probably twice a month. Let me preface this part by saying I¡¯ve been keeping my eye out for White Dial Omega GMT which was discontinued awhile back¡..it¡¯s one of my absolute favorites. I¡¯ve been checking Bernard¡¯s website every week but he never seems to get one. Well the dealer just received one from their main office that morning¡.as a closeout. MSRP was $2395 and the lady quoted an extra 20% off for that day. As I¡¯m thinking about snatching it up for a little less than $2k, she¡¯s hitting buttons on the calculator and says ¡°So as a closeout it¡¯s 40% off and
I understand the stated accuracy of the movements.I also understand the various apps for measuring watch accuracy. But what is more important - to me at least - is how the watch is set.I stop the movement and adjust the hands as best I can visually. Then I start the movement by pushing in the crown while viewing a time clock. Lot of room for human error. Then I think there must be some short time lag before the gears begin turning the hands. So while my watch is very accurate I am more interested in setting and reading the time correctly. When I just quickly glance at the dial I can easily tell the actual time within 30 sec. (just by looking at the hands).Good enough for rock 'n roll. Of course I can read the sweep seconds for greater precision.I am curious what methods people use set their watch. Maybe its just my OCD...Forgive a newbie - I just wanted to start a thread that I thought TRF folks could help me understand (and that was not about DayC's).
I am looking to add another to my collection but this time i need a less official but classy watch to wear on a regular,I still want a Rolex please give me your thoughts?
